/ Hope Repertory Theatre

Construction Parking

The City of Holland is conducting road construction on Columbia Ave. between 10th Street and 16th Street through mid-July. But don’t worry! We have some options and a shuttle for those who might need assistance.

Please allow ample time to park and walk to the theatre!

The lobby will be open 45 minutes prior to the performance start time and the doors to the theatre auditorium will open 30 minutes prior to the performance start time. The lobby will be festive, and we hope you enjoy the preshow time and perhaps get to know a fellow patron!

Our construction parking map shows our shuttle pick up points and the best parking lots and pedestrian access to the theatre this summer.

We will also have signs located across campus to help point you in the right direction. Follow the blue “Meet Me at Hope Rep” signs with arrows pointing toward the theatre.

Mobility Challenges

If you have mobility challenges or need extra assistance, we have a designated parking lot if your driver and your party need to be shuttled to the theatre. If your driver is okay walking, we suggest you drop off your passengers who need the shuttle in this lot and then park and meet your party at the theatre.

Best Parking Lots

  • Kollen Hall (13th Street — access from east of Columbia off of College Ave)
    • Accessible parking lot with a golf cart shuttle to the theatre. The shuttle will begin running 40 minutes prior to the start of the performance.
    • This is a small lot, so please save parking spots for patrons who have handicapped tags and/or need extra assistance getting to the theatre — or use it as a drop off zone!
  • Martha Miller building (accessible on 10th Street from both east and west of Columbia)
    • This is our largest lot, and you will simply need to walk to 10th Street to cross Columbia and then use the sidewalk on the west side of Columbia to proceed to the theatre (see map)
  • Keppel House (10th St)
    • There is a small lot off 10th Street west of Columbia — from there you will walk to the west sidewalk on Columbia to the theatre.

Other options

  • Anderson-Werkman (9th Street) — This lot is often filled with downtown patrons but you might find a spot there.
  • Street parking anywhere around campus.
  • Schaap Science Building Lot — Entrance on 12th Street between College and Central. This is a lovely five-minute walk east through the middle of our beautiful campus on what would be 12th Street directly to the theatre.
  • City Parking Deck (7th Street and Columbia) — If you want a stress free parking option (this is almost a guarantee) it is about a five-block walk — less of a walk than you would have in NYC to see a Broadway show!
  • Dow Center (13th St - access off of Lincoln Ave) , please follow the walking path parallel to Columbia through campus past DePree Art Building, Campus Safety, and Martha Miller to 10th St and then cross over Columbia and walk backwards to the theatre.

Note: you may park in any Hope Lot during the summer regardless of signage for Faculty or Students.
